Scandinavian RE Survey — June 2026

A survey among Swedish and Norwegian real estate professionals, June 2026.

Topics: AI and real estate, tenant rep–landlord relations, and CSI usage.

The industry, fortunately, recognizes the significance of AI for real estate but does not fear it. However, many assume they already understand what AI will mean for real estate, and quite a few rate their company’s current AI implementations as OK or fairly good. Both assumptions seem naive given the continuous, radical innovation in AI and downstream technologies — and the industry’s generally slow pace of tech adoption.

The high score for chat tools — and the low scores for everything else — perhaps underlines our view that it’s still early days for AI in real estate.

Landlords generally rate tenant reps’ performance lower than tenant reps rate landlords. The lowest score is for communication after pitching, with many landlords calling out the need for more and better feedback on the status of their proposals.

Tenant reps, for their part, take some issue with the quality of landlords’ proposals: many pitches that clearly don’t meet the spec are still being submitted.

We asked both how often landlords run tenant-satisfaction surveys and which partner, if any, helps them. Although we invited a broad audience (real estate professionals from more than 500 companies), we’d expect a higher response rate among those closest to us — so the ranking of CSI partners does not reflect actual market size.

The most striking finding was the large number of landlords who run CSI surveys themselves, or use partners that have no real estate benchmarks — and presumably no proper real estate analytical models either. We have yet to see a survey built in-house, or by non-industry specialists, that doesn’t have considerable shortcomings.
